Brendon Ursomanno, DDS – Our Periodontist

Brendon Ursomanno, DDS, stands out not just as a skilled Board Eligible Periodontist but also as a practitioner who prioritizes holistic periodontal care and personalized treatment strategies. His academic journey commenced with a solid dentistry background, culminating in a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Thesis Honors from the University At Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in May 2020.

Fueled by his fervor for periodontics, Dr. Brendon pursued further education at New York University, completing the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics in June 2023. During his time at NYU, he honed his abilities in diagnosing and managing a diverse array of periodontal and implant dentistry cases, covering both non-surgical and surgical interventions like surgical extraction, socket preservation, ridge augmentation, and implant placement. Dr. Brendon’s methodology emphasizes tailored treatments for each patient, with a focus on promoting overall health.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Brendon has actively contributed to dental research. His studies at the University at Buffalo delved into assessing implant restoration conditions in patients on specific medications, yielding noteworthy results for future investigations. Additionally, his research assistant role at the Department of Biology, College of Staten Island, broadened his understanding of genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology, all pertinent to dentistry.

Dr. Brendon’s commitment to excellence and community service has earned him various accolades, including the Clinical Excellence Award in Periodontics from New York University and the Lester Schatz Memorial Award from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He has volunteered with Remote Area Medical (RAM) in Smyth County, Virginia, and presented his research at the Crohn’s and Colitis Congress Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Outside his professional sphere, Dr. Brendon’s involvement as an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America showcases his leadership and commitment to service. He is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey. Dr. Brendon’s holistic approach to periodontics and unwavering dedication to patient well-being position him to continue making significant contributions to the field, driven by his pursuit of excellence and integrated health.
